Course description – This course is ideal for people looking to become a more dynamic and stylish paddler in the advanced water environment who already have some experience on grade 3 rapids. We aim to get you working with the environment rather than fighting it, providing you with a strong technical base of skills to go along with solid tactical approaches. Combining both to make you feel efficient, smooth and confident when you paddle. All this while you explore and run some of the best rivers Scotland has to offer.

What we will cover

• Driving the boat
• Becoming a dynamic boater looking at edge and trim
• River running and open water tactics

• Traditional skills suitable to the environment e.g. lining/poling/ tracking

At the end of the course, we will review your learning and help you create and action plan to carry on through to your future boating and help you get the most out of it.

Intermediate Canoe Scottish rivers tour

Course description – This course is ideal for people looking to become a more controlled and stylish paddler in the moderate water environment Who already have experience in grade 2 rapids. During the course we will work on your grade 2/2+ river running skills while helping you with those first steps into grade 3. We aim to get you working with the environment rather than fighting it, providing you with a strong technical base of skills to go along with solid tactical approaches. Combining both to make you feel efficient, smooth and confident when you paddle. All this while exploring some of Scotland’s classic rivers.

Course description – This course is Ideal for people looking to move from sheltered flat water to moving water or perhaps want to start exploring larger bodies of open water. We will look at giving you a strong foundational set of skill and help you transfer your flat-water knowledge into a more dynamic environment. This course is ideal preparation for a solo or tandem expedition you have planned or perhaps you just want to advance your skills to next level with your canoeing.
