Intermediate white water canoe courses
Course description – This course is ideal for people looking to become a more controlled and stylish paddler in the moderate water environment Who already have experience in grade 2 rapids. During the course we will work on your grade 2/2+ river running skills while helping you with those first steps into grade 3. We aim to get you working with the environment rather than fighting it, providing you with a strong technical base of skills to go along with solid tactical approaches. Combining both to make you feel efficient, smooth and confident when you paddle. All this while exploring some of Scotland’s classic rivers.

What we will cover
• Driving the boat
• Explore and develop the use of edge and trim
• Safe river running tactics
• Tactical use of the flow and features on the river
• Improving your confidence and independence on the river
• Traditional skills suitable to the environment e.g. lining / poling/ tracking
At the end of the course, we will review your learning and help you create and action plan to carry on through to your future boating and help you get the most out of it.

Canoe dam release & summer rivers guiding & coaching days
One of the best things about Scotland as a white water paddler is you have year-round water available thanks to the Dam releases.
We can show you around all the rivers that summer in Scotland has to offer with a variety of river combinations available to choose from.
These coaching courses are designed to help you get some input to help you develop your personal skills, hone your tactics, build confidence, and most of all – have some fun in the sun with our expert coach

Expedition Canoe Courses
Course description – These courses are fully customised toward people looking to start heading out on their own multiday adventures or perhaps looking to join us on one of our expeditions. We will look at giving you a strong foundational set of white water and open water paddling skills and tactics to manage your craft and equipment in a variety of conditions. During the course we will also explore a variety of traditional canoe skills such as lining, tracking, polling, portage, sailing and more!
All this while running and exploring some of Scotland’s most amazing rivers and lochs.
This Course can include the BCAB White Water Safety Award
