Looking to bomb proof your roll in canoe or OC1?

Here is a short video sharing some ideas, top tips and exercises on rolling an open boat.

In this video we use an Silverbirch Agent 88 (OC1) to demonstrate techniques and body positions required to perform a good roll in an open boat. This could be performed in a well outfitted open canoe with adequate floatation and connection for the paddler.

A strong foundation of good flexibility and core strength will help with your progression.

A good warm up to get blood moving around your body and some dynamic stretches, expanding your range of motion in the areas of the body you want to use before attempting your roll will help avoid injuries.
